Choosing your photographer is choosing the person beside you for every quiet glance and every loud, happy blur of the day. I photograph to remember what it felt like, not just how it looked. Below is a starting point. Every collection bends to fit the shape of your day.

Inquire

Send me your date and a little about your day, who you are, where you're celebrating, and the kind of feeling you're after. Within 48 hours you'll hear back from me (not an auto-reply, actually me) with your date's availability, so you have real numbers and real information before you decide anything. This first step costs you nothing but a few sentences.

STEP ONE

design

If we both feel a spark, we hop on a quick call to talk through your day and find the collection that fits it. Nothing is one-size-fits-all here; if you need an extra hour, a second shooter, or a slightly different shape, we build it around you. Once it feels right, I send a simple, plain-English contract and a deposit saves your date for good. From that moment, your day is officially on my calendar and off your worry list.

Plan

As your wedding gets closer, we build your photo timeline together so the day actually breathes instead of racing past. I'll help you carve out enough time for the moments that matter, golden-hour portraits, family photos without the chaos, a quiet minute or two just for the two of you. You'll never be left guessing what happens when. By the time the day arrives, we both know the plan, which means you get to stop planning and start enjoying.

The day is yours, and my job is to make it feel effortless. I show up early, keep things calm, and guide you with easy, natural posing so you always know what to do with your hands and where to look. When I pull you aside for portraits, it's quick and fun, never a long, draining photo shoot, and then I hand you right back to your celebration. The rest of the day I'm capturing it as it unfolds. You bring the love and the people; I'll take care of making you look and feel amazing.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Bride and groom embracing in a golden field at sunset, the bride's long veil sweeping out behind her, with mountains in the distance at their Shenandoah National Park wedding.

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book 9 to 12 months ahead, and spring and fall dates tend to go first. If you have a date in mind, the best time to reach out is now. Even if you're still early in planning, I'm happy to hold a conversation while you sort the details.

Roughly 75 to 100 hand-edited images per hour of coverage. For a typical full day that lands in a generous gallery covering everything from getting ready to the last dance, delivered together as one complete story.

HOW MANY PICTURES WILL I GET?

I don't, and here's the honest why: editing is where my style lives. The color, the mood, the polish, that's a core part of what you're hiring me for, and an unedited file isn't a finished photograph. What you will get is a full gallery of beautifully edited, high-resolution images, every keeper from your day.

Do you give Raw/Unedited Images?

Relaxed and genuinely fun. We pick a location that means something to you (or one I recommend), and spend about up to an hour together while I guide you with easy, natural posing, no stiff staring at the camera. It's the perfect way to get comfortable with me before the wedding, so on the big day it feels like an old friend is behind the lens. Engagement shoots are included in select collections and available as an add-on for the others.

What does aN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT look like?

Your deposit secures your date and is non-refundable, since it reserves time I turn away other bookings for. Payments made before a cancellation are refundable per the contract terms. That said, life happens, and if you ever need to move your date I'll always do my best to transfer your booking when my calendar allows. Everything is laid out plainly in your contract, no fine-print surprises.

What’s your cancellation/refund policy?

For weddings within the Virginia Beach, Northern Virginia, and DC area, travel is included. For celebrations beyond that, I simply add travel costs and accommodation when the day runs long or starts early, all agreed upfront with no hidden fees. Wherever you're saying "I do," I'm there for it.

How does traveling work?

Yes, and at no extra cost. After your deposit, the balance can be split into up to four installments leading up to your wedding, so the investment fits comfortably alongside everything else you're planning.
